Choosing a preschool for your child is an exciting journey, and we’re thrilled that you’re considering The Gan at Short Hills! Our nurturing and vibrant community is designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning in every child.

At The Gan, we have a thoughtfully crafted admissions process that invites you to explore our warm and welcoming environment. Each step is designed to help you and your child feel connected to our program and the incredible experiences we offer.

Application Process

  1. Complete the Application Form

    Submit the application form online to provide us with essential information about your child. There is a non-refundable application fee of $500 if applying before February 26th and $750 if applying after. $500 of the application is credited towards your Tuition total.

  2. Book a Tour and Meet the Director

    Schedule a visit to tour our facilities, learn more about our program, and meet our Director. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and get a feel for The Gan’s warm and nurturing environment.

  3. Application Review

    Once the application is submitted and the tour is complete, we will carefully review your application to ensure a good fit for both your family and The Gan.

  4. Notification of Acceptance

    You will receive notification of the application decision within two weeks. Upon acceptance, families must complete the enrollment contract and provide all necessary medical forms and immunization records to secure their child’s spot.

Please note the following admissions cut-off dates for the 2025-26 school year:

Pre-Nursery - Date of Birth before or on March 1, 2023 (Your child will be aged 2.5 by the first day of school)

Nursery - Date of Birth before or on October 1, 2022 (Your child will be aged 3 by October 1, 2025)

Pre-K - Date of Birth before or on October 1, 2021 (Your child will be aged 4 by October 1, 2025)

Kindergarten - Date of Birth before or on October 1, 2020 (Your child will be aged 5 by October 1, 2025)
